Live Consultation (Mobile App): Recording Workflow
Live Consultation is available exclusively on the mobile app. It allows you to record a patient consultation in real time while A360 generates a live transcript and AI-powered clinical content in the background.
How to Start a Live Consultation
There are two ways to begin a consultation:
Option 1: From the Patient List
- In the Patients list, swipe left on the patient's name.
- Tap Start from the quick actions menu.
Option 2: From the Patient Record
- Open the patient's record.
- Tap the Start Consultation icon in the top right corner.
Once you enter Live Consultation mode, the app begins recording within seconds. You will see a Recording status indicator and a sound wave confirming the session is active.
Note: Live Consultation requires an active internet connection. All transcript data is uploaded and securely saved to the server in real time.
How to Monitor Recording in Progress
While recording is active:
- The screen displays tabs for AI-generated content that will be populated as the consultation progresses.
- A live transcript appears in the Transcript tab, with speakers automatically identified (e.g., Speaker 0, Speaker 1) and words appearing as they are spoken.
- A small round Content Ready indicator appears on tabs when new AI-generated content is ready for review.
- If a network issue or other interruption occurs, you will receive an error notification.
How to Pause Recording
While staying in Live Consultation mode:
- Tap the Pause button in the top right corner.
- To restart recording, tap the Microphone icon in the top right corner.
To pause and exit at the same time:
- Tap the Back button (top left corner).
- In the pop-up, select Pause Recording & Exit to pause the recording and leave Live Consultation mode in one step.
To exit when recording is already paused:
- Tap the Back button (top left corner).
- In the pop-up, select Exit.
How to Resume Recording
Option 1: While staying in Live Consultation mode
- Tap the Microphone icon in the top right corner to restart recording.
Option 2: From the History list (swipe)
- Go to the patient's History tab.
- Swipe left on the consultation record with Idle status.
- Tap Resume.
- You return to Live Consultation mode and recording resumes automatically within seconds.
Option 3: From the consultation record
- Go to the patient's History tab.
- Tap the consultation record with Idle status.
- Tap Resume in the top right corner.
- You return to Live Consultation mode and recording resumes automatically within seconds.
Note: You can only resume consultations that you created.
How to Finish a Consultation
Option 1: From within Live Consultation mode (recommended)
- Tap the Square icon in the top right corner to begin finishing the consultation.
- The square icon changes to a Flag icon and a back button appears. Recording continues during this transition.
- Tap the Flag icon to fully finish and save the consultation.
- Once you tap the Flag icon, recording cannot be restarted.
- The screen shows Consultation Finished status.
- Tap the Back button (top left corner) to exit.
- The consultation record is saved to the patient's History tab.
If you tapped the Square icon by mistake: Tap the back button in the top right corner to return to Live Consultation mode and continue recording.
Option 2: Finish & Exit (regardless of recording status)
- Tap the Back button (top left corner).
- In the pop-up, select Finish Consultation & Exit.
- The consultation record is saved to the patient's History tab.
If you tapped Back by mistake: Tap Stay in Consultation to return to Live Consultation mode.
Option 3: From the History list (swipe)
- Go to the patient's History tab.
- Swipe left on the consultation record with Idle status.
- Tap Finish.
Note: You can only finish consultations that you created.
What AI Content Is Generated After Finishing
Once you tap the Flag icon to finish the consultation, A360 generates the following content:
- Summary
- Clinical Notes
- Care Plan
- Questions
Each tab shows a Content Ready indicator when the AI output is available for review.
