Administration: How to Manage Referrals

Practice Admins Only

The Referrals page in Administration lets you keep a directory of doctors and specialists outside your practice — such as dermatologists, surgeons, or other medical professionals — that your team works with or recommends to patients. Each referral stores the doctor's contact details and the practice they belong to.

While referrals are not yet connected to other features in A360, keeping this list up to date now means your practice will be ready as new features roll out.


How to View and Search Your Referrals

  1. Go to Administration and select Referrals.
  2. Your referrals are displayed in a list with the following columns: Doctor NameSpecialtyPractice NamePhone, and Email.
  3. Use the Search bar at the top to find a referral by name.
  4. Use the Filter icon to filter the list by status — Active or Deactivated. Select your preference and click Apply. Click Clear to remove the filter.

If no referrals have been added yet, the page will show a prompt to add your first one.


How to Add a Referral

  1. On the Referrals page, click + Add Referral in the top right corner.
  2. Fill in the doctor's details. First Name and Last Name are required. All other fields are optional:
    • Middle Name
    • Email
    • Phone Number
    • Title (select from the dropdown)
    • Specialty
    • Practice Name — the external practice where this doctor works
  3. Click Save to add the referral, or Cancel to discard.

How to Edit a Referral

  1. On the Referrals page, find the referral you want to update and click on it.
  2. The referral detail page will open showing all fields.
  3. Update the relevant fields directly on the page.
  4. Click Save to apply your changes, or Cancel to discard them.

If you try to leave the page with unsaved changes, a dialog will appear asking whether you want to Discard the changes or Continue Editing.


How to Deactivate a Referral

Deactivating a referral removes it from your active list without permanently deleting it. You can reactivate it at any time.

You can deactivate a referral from two places:

From the Referrals list:

  1. Find the referral and click the three-dot menu (⋮) at the right end of the row.
  2. Select Deactivate.
  3. Confirm when prompted.

From the referral detail page:

  1. Open the referral by clicking on it.
  2. Click the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top right corner.
  3. Select Deactivate.
  4. Confirm when prompted.

To view deactivated referrals, use the Filter on the Referrals list and select Deactivated.


How to Activate Previously Deactivated Referral

  1. On the Referrals list page, use the filter to show deactivated records.
  2. Locate the referral you want to reactivate.
  3. Click the three-dot menu (⋮) next to the record and select Activate.
    1. Alternatively, you can open the referral detail page and select Activate from the three-dot menu at the top of the page.
  4. The referral is now active and will appear in the default list view.
