How to Manage Patient Profile: Add, Edit, Update Status
- The Patient Profile contains essential demographic and contact information for each patient.
- This section allows providers to view and manage patient details, ensuring accurate records and supporting communication and consultation workflows.
- The Patient Profile can be accessed from both the mobile app and the web platform, where authorized users can review or update patient information as needed.

How to View Patient Profile on Mobile
To view a patient’s profile using the mobile app:

| Alternatively, you can access the profile by swiping a patient entry in the patient list and selecting the Profile quick action. |

The Profile tab displays available patient information such as:

From the Profile page, you can also:
- Start a new consultation
- Navigate to other tabs such as History or Summary.
How to Edit Patient Profile on Mobile
To update a patient’s profile information using the mobile app:

Note: If the patient’s name is modified, the system will automatically check for possible duplicate patient records and notify you if one already exists.
If a name and date of birth updates match an existing patient record, the system will notify users to prevent duplicate records.
- The confirmation popup "Duplicate Patient Detected" will appear
- Select Proceed to update information
- or Cancel to discard

How to Add or Update a Patient Photo on the Mobile App
This feature is currently available exclusively on the mobile application

To edit the Patient Profile photo, follow the same flow as when adding a patient photo.

How to Activate a Patient on the Mobile App
Prior to reactivating a deactivated patient, please filter the patient list by selecting either the Inactive or All status.

Summary
The Patient Profile stores each patient's demographic and contact details, and can be managed from both the mobile app and the web platform. Here's what to remember:
✓ Viewing a profile — open the patient record and tap or click the Profile tab; on mobile you can also swipe the patient entry for a quick shortcut
✓ Editable fields — First Name, Last Name, and Date of Birth are required; Middle Name, Title, Gender Identity, Ethnicity, Occupation, Phone Number, and Email are optional
✓ Duplicate check — if an edited name and date of birth match an existing record, a "Duplicate Patient Detected" pop-up will appear before the changes are saved
✓ Patient photo — adding, updating, or removing a patient photo is available on the mobile app only
✓ Deactivating a patient — available on both mobile and web; the record is not deleted and the action can be reversed at any time
✓ Deactivated patients — Live Consultation is unavailable for deactivated patients; you can still edit their Profile and Summary, and review their History and consultation records
✓ Activating a patient — filter the patient list by Inactive or All (mobile) or Deactivated (web) first to find the patient, then use the "..." menu or swipe to activate
✓ Patient photo — adding, updating, and removing a patient photo is a mobile-only feature
